Efficient. Effective. Empowering. Our barre classes are all of the above and more. Move It Barre recreates the feel and flow of a dance class. All exercises are set specifically to each piece of music with careful attention to body alignment to prevent injury. You’ll be surprised how quickly class flies by and how much taking 55 minutes to focus on you will make lasting change.

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:15 PM

Pump it up. Our in house cardio workout, Move It Barre Cardio, takes all the elements you already love about Move It Barre and picks up the pace for a heart-pumping, calorie-burning combination. We like to pull out all the props for this class (even rebounders!) so come ready for anything. Sweaty and happy is how you’ll leave Move It Barre cardio!

Classes meet: Mondays at 5:45 PM, Saturdays at 8:00 AM

Let’s face it, flexibility isn’t most people’s forte. Society rewards grit over grace. We’re here to tell you, you can have both. This class combines Move It Barre toning exercises with extended stretching to strengthen and lengthen. Give those tight muscles a chance to breathe and you’ll notice you can move more freely in your other activities.

“How do I get out of my head and into my body?” An invitation to connect, stretch, move, dance, shake, and journey through a Qoya-inspired feminine movement practice that explores embodiment as medicine. Come as you are and leave as more of who you are.

Move It - Mambo

The Salsa on 2 – Level 1 class is designed for beginners. Salsa on 2, commonly referred to as Mambo, is a style of salsa first introduced in New York in the 1960s. Mambo earned popularity through a New York club named The Palladium. Today, the most popular Mambo version is called New York On 2 style created and popularised by Eddie Torres who is also regarded as The Mambo King. This class will get you feeling that Latin rhythm and teach you dance moves to take with you out on the town!

  • Classes meet: Fridays 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM (new students come at 6 PM for step review)
  • Current session: October 21 through November 18

Beginning Adult Ballet Variations

“You’re never too old to try something new or to dream a new dream.” C.S. Lewis had it right. This class is designed for the dancer without experience. It’s also a perfect fit for students who danced when they were younger, but have had a break. Anne will lead you through barre technique and basic center work. Alternating sessions include learning variations from your favorite ballets!

  • Classes meet: Wednesdays 7:15PM to 8:30 PM
  • Current session: September 14 through October 19

Classical Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates emphasizes proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and concentration on flowing movements. Pilates conditions the whole body, training several muscle groups at once. By focusing on the quality of how you’re moving, you can re-train your body. It sets you the path to success in whatever you do! Injury recovery, sports performance, optimal health, it’s all there waiting for you on your mat.
